B&O Beosound 4/Beolab 4 review

B&O’s Beosound 4 is a glass fronted minimalist statement with FM/AM radio, remote and alarm clock. Oh, and a hefty price tag too

The glass front of the Beosound 4/Beolab 4 is motion-sensitive and slides up, smoothly, when you get near it, destroying its minimalist look by revealing a scary mass of buttons and an SD card slot for playing MP3s.

The little pyramid speakers produce a sound that’s bigger than they have any right to. Even so, the sonics are more dinner party than house party, if you’re concerned about value.

It would suit an open-plan lounge and dining area with an Eames chair and a wall-mounted plasma telly – if that’s your style, put your hand in your well lined pocket.
